Glen Cove, NY – The North Shore Historical Museum’s “Open the Doors” sunset cocktail party held at the Sea Cliff Yacht Club is another event that has helped the Museum come closer to opening the doors of its future home, the historic Justice Court building.
The sunset cocktail party on September 8 was attended by Museum members and guests. The party celebrated the work that has been accomplished toward the restoration of the 100 year old building. Museum President, Brian Mercadante pointed out the work completed on the exterior of the building and showed slides of the work now completed in the interior restoration.
Mr. Mercadante said, ”We are proud of what we have accomplished thus far. We do need to go somewhat further to ‘open the doors’ to this marvelous building and events like this party and the support of the public and local businesses will help us reach that goal. We look forward to opening the doors to the public so they can view some of the history of Long Island’s Gold Coast”.
